Agave geminiflora – Twin-Flowered Agave

Agave geminiflora, the Twin-Flowered Agave, is a striking architectural succulent celebrated for its dense, symmetrical rosette of narrow, dark green leaves. Originating from the oak woodlands of Nayarit, Mexico, at elevations of 3,000–4,000 feet, this species is accustomed to filtered light and cooler nights — making it a versatile choice for both modern landscapes and container gardening.

Unlike many of its relatives, its leaves are flexible and unarmed, lacking the sharp marginal teeth found on other xerophytes. While it is solitary and does not produce offsets, mature plants (typically 10+ years old) produce a magnificent, tall flower spike with distinctive paired blooms — the trait that gives the species its botanical name.
