Barrel Cactus (Echinocactus Grusonii) is Native to the arid regions of central Mexico, Echinocactus Grusonii, known as the golden barrel cactus, is a very popular choice among plant enthusiasts; and it is used a lot in high-end desert landscapes and rock gardens. 

The golden barrel cactus is a vibrant member of the Echinocactus genus and is also known as a mother-in-law's seat or golden ball cactus.
