The SS02 x Landfill is an exceptional, highly sought-after hybrid that brings together two iconic lineages in the community of exotic plant enthusiasts. 

The maternal parent, SS02, is a celebrated cultivar originally introduced into cultivation by Ben Kamm of the venerable nursery Sacred Succulents. It is known for its frosted blue-green stems, prominent notches, and unique, long central spines.

The paternal parent, Landfill, is a legendary, ultra-thick columnar variety prized for its brilliant deep green color, shallow ribs, and robust growth habit.
When crossed, this hybrid displays the ultimate "hybrid vigor," producing stunning, thick-creased specimens that beautifully blend the fat, clean ribs of Landfill with the elegant, classic geometry and styling of SS02. It serves as a resilient, visually captivating ornamental showpiece that grows quickly under favorable conditions

 

NOTE: The image in this photo represents a unique mutant of the batch of SS02 x Landfill which is showing more of the Landfill characteristics than the mother plant SS02.  It was the only one that looked like this. Most have much longer spines.
