The Huancabamba x Kimnach Variegated hybrid is an elite, multi-generational prize tailored for serious enthusiasts of spectacular structural flora.
The maternal lineage trace originates from Huancabamba, a towering, frosty blue-green regional variety native to the high-altitude Andean foothills near the sacred lagoons of northern Peru.
The paternal influence stems from Kimnach (specifically clone HBG 53196 / 2876D), which was famously collected on May 19, 1984, by Myron Kimnach along the Cajamarca-Namora road in Peru. This legendary parent introduces thick, fat rounded ribs, a smooth skin texture, and neat, compact geometry.
Because this specific cross introduces variegation, the resulting plants showcase a spectacular, asymmetrical marbled patterning of brilliant pastel yellow and deep forest green across the ribs. It presents a vibrant, hardy, and highly dynamic architectural showpiece for any modern greenhouse
