The Rare Cactus Myrtillocactus Geometrizans 'Stacker' is a mesmerizing, sculptural variant of the classic Blue Myrtle Cactus. Its provenance traces back to specialized nurseries in Japan and California, where growers stabilized this particular monstrose mutation known for its distinctive "stacked" columnar appearance. Originally native to the arid regions of central and northern Mexico, the parent species is known for its resilience and fast growth; however, this 'Stacker' cultivar transforms that vigor into a dense, overlapping form that looks like a living work of art. Its waxy, glaucous coating serves as a natural sunblock, giving it a dusty, elegant blue hue that intensifies with proper light exposure
- Best Soil Mixture: Use a highly inorganic, fast-draining mix to prevent root rot. A recommended DIY ratio is 70% drainage material (pumice or perlite) and 30% organic matter (cactus soil or coco coir).
- Sunlight Requirements: This cultivar thrives in bright, direct sunlight. For indoor plants, a south-facing window with at least 6 hours of light is ideal to maintain its tight "stacked" shape and vibrant blue color; insufficient light can cause it to turn green or stretch (etiolate)
