Variegated Euphorbia poissonii in Custom Ceramic Pot

Euphorbia poissonii is a striking columnar Euphorbia native to West Africa, prized for its bold, angular ribbing and rows of paired spines running up each ridge. In this rare variegated form, the normally deep green epidermis is dramatically broken up by stable ribbons and patches of creamy white and pale yellow — a mutation that makes each specimen a one-of-a-kind work of living art and significantly increases its collector value.

Care Guide

• Light: Bright, direct sun; 5–6+ hours daily. Strong light maintains the sharpest contrast in the variegation.
• Water: Soak and dry — allow soil to dry completely between waterings. Reduce significantly in winter.
• Soil: Fast-draining mineral cactus or Euphorbia mix.
• Temperature: USDA Zones 10–11; protect from any frost. Best suited for warm, dry climates or bright indoor spaces.
• Handling: Always use gloves and eye protection when pruning — latex sap is a strong irritant.
